This service is for families who are:
Seeking comprehensive insights into their child's learning, thinking, emotions, and behaviours.
Looking for personalised recommendations and support tailored to their child's unique needs.
Interested in a collaborative approach to assessment, with a focus on partnership and involvement throughout the process.
Engage in an in-depth conversation with us to understand your child/young person's individual requirements and needs. Complete a questionnaire to provide valuable insights. Collaborate with teachers and external specialists to gather comprehensive data. Review previous educational assessments and build on prior information.
Conducted either in person or remotely, accommodating overseas clients, our assessment sessions typically last between 2 to 4 hours. Within 4 weeks of the assessment session, receive a detailed strengths-based report, complete with personalised recommendations for home and school. We prioritise tuning into your child or young person during the assessment, creating a space where they feel deeply understood and acknowledged.
Arrange a session to discuss the findings of the report and address any questions or concerns. Provide general feedback to your child's school to facilitate a collaborative approach to support. Work closely with us throughout the assessment process. Your input and involvement are integral, and we ensure that you are part of the decision-making process every step of the way.
"‘Lisa’s strong ability to meet my daughter where she is emotionally and academically has been so integral to helping my daughter to gain confidence and take pride in her ability. Week after week my daughter looks forward to the creative input Lisa provides in helping her develop learning strategies. From the very first time we met Lisa, we felt Lisa understood what we had spent years trying to explain to other professionals. She understood my daughter’s challenges and more importantly how to help my daughter to overcome them. We are happy to work with Lisa for as long as possible. She is kind, understanding, very patient and always has great stories to share. She has gone beyond her role to provide a holistic support. We recommend Lisa highly'."
Our assessment process is not only about gathering information but also about creating a space where both you and your child/young person feel deeply understood and acknowledged. During the assessment, we prioritise tuning into your child or young person, providing them with an opportunity to engage in meaningful one-to-one interaction with our educational assessor.
In this setting, the assessor is solely focused on your child, allowing for genuine connection and communication.
Much of this communication occurs nonverbally, where subtle cues and expressions convey invaluable insights. The assessor not only listens to what your child or young person articulates but also observes their non-verbal gestures, such as facial expressions and physiological responses.
By attuning to these subtle signals, our assessors gain profound insights into your child's thoughts, feelings, and needs. This attentiveness is deeply felt by the child, validating their inherent need to be heard and seen.
Through this process, we strive to create an environment where your child feels genuinely understood and valued.
