Our Expert Founders
The story of Beyond Bridges Education (BBE) began with a serendipitous encounter between Lisa Low and Johanna Pickering in Hong Kong, China, as their children embarked on a new chapter of their educational journey in 2018.
Lisa Low
With over 30 years of experience in education across the UK, Europe, China, and Hong Kong, China, specialising in learning and behaviour, Lisa Low is an expert in identifying needs and developing strategies to support each child and family. Lisa brings a wealth of professional experiences, ranging from school principal and SENDCo to educational assessor and teacher.
Her journey as a parent adds a personal dimension to her understanding of the challenges and triumphs families face. Lisa's academic background includes two master's degrees, enriching her insights into educational practices.
Johanna Pickering
Johanna's professional journey began in international development, where she played a crucial role in market development across multiple countries.
Her transition into education sparked her interest in marketing and admissions roles in prominent schools in Hong Kong, China.
Through her experiences, Johanna gained valuable insights into parental perspectives and school operations.
